Fabric, WIP, Blueprints!!

So first are the drawings of our new house that we are going to be building later this year!! See the room on the top right hand side?? yep, dh is making that my sewing room, with a four foot wall overlooking the house, so while I am working, I can see what my monsters are doing, without them getting into my sewing space!! Next are some quilt squares in the works, I have the remaining squares ready to be pieced together!!

These final three pictures are of newly acquired fat quarters that I bought on sale, there is also one more, the yellowish gold color in these, I have a pretty one to match, it just took a crappy pictures so I decided not to post it!! I love these, and I wish I could just stare at them all day. The navy japanese writing fabric I would love to make one of these when the pattern becomes available. Have a nice day!!! (just found said pattern, now I need to buy one, anyone have one for sale???)

Babe's

I made these for my girls a long time ago, and they have been sitting nakie on my closet shelf cuz I have dreaded trying to make them clothes. They keep asking for them so yesterday while they were at school I sewed each babe a pajama dress. The one on the left with the eyes is for Abigail and the red head is for Camille. I decided not to finish the faces and leave them blank. I love them the way they are, and honestly wanted to clear them off my shelf!! Their mommies are very excited!! and this mommy is very glad they are done!!

More Baskets!

So I did blocks two and three of the Tisket Tasket thing, no embroidery yet as my new book Doodle Stitching is en route to me right now through the mail, I cannot wait!! Also, today when my daughter got home from school I appliqued her a Tinkerbell from her 2009 Disney Calendar. I am working on sprucing up or shall I say teaching myself to hand quilt, she will take over when she wants. Slowly getting there, Have a Nice Evening!!!

My New Knitting Bag, thanks Judi!!

So this is the finished bag with the kit I won over at Judi's blog. I absolutely LOVE it!!! It was new to me, the quilting myself. I picked a leaf design. and I am very pleased with it!! I had some left over fabric, so I made an accessories pouch from a tutorial over at the Moda Bake Shop (.button on my side bar). I said I would post pictures, so enjoy!!!

Oh, and today a dear friend is letting me borrow Breaking Dawn, the final book in the Twilight series, I cannot wait. Got some major reading to do the next couple of days!! hehe I cannot wait.

Please Please let it NOT be.........

I was just sewing while my baby was sleeping, and my big boy was watching Toy Story, when all of a sudden I got a strong smell of burning, so I stopped sewing, my sewing machine was HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT, I hope to God that it's not burned up, what would a girl do without her machine when I yearn for sewing every single day.... please pray that my machine will work once she's cooled off and has a break.

Another Finished Object!!!!

So here is my Central Park Hoodie complete!! I am so excited!! Also I took a pic of the buttons for it. I love sheep things and knew that I had to have sheep buttons for it, they complement each other well!!!

Goodies, WIP, Galore!!!!!

So a little time ago over at Green Fairy Quilts blog she had a giveaway for a bag, and then the person with the most referrals won a quilted bag kit, well, mine kit arrived in the mail yesterday. I took some pictures before I cut into the fabric.
It is Moda from the Posh by Chez Moi line. Gotta say it's pretty fabric!!
This is my first go at applique, and it is pretty good if I do say so myself, I am for sure proud of myself with that. Yeah, I just decided to do the Tisket a Tasket basket bom. I need to catch up, but I figure it is good for learning. I still need to finish this but I wanted to post a picture.
This is my final fat quarter from the
Sew Mama Sew fq swap. Thanks!!!
Here is my second square in the Enduring Elegance quilt I am working on also. Gotta say I am loving this also!!! Well, we are off in the car today to go deliver some drawings for a cabinet job the hubby got, so have a nice day!!!

Calendar Quilt Challenge January-March Complete

The first picture is of January and February side by side, and the second picture is of January on top of February, and March alongside. I can say I am loving this, and it is going to make one heck of a couch blanket for the family!!! Oh, in case you want to check out our blog for this, the button link is on my sidebar over yonder ---------->>

P.S. you might notice from picture one strips with writing on them, and picture two they are all gone, it's disappearing ink, no just kidding, I was not liking the look of the writing, so I replaced the strips with new ones, and I am learning how to embroider, or shall I say I have the stuff but have not started trying to teach myself, (if any of you know of great resources online, please let me know). I have 9 more months to learn and make this look right.

Fat Quarters!!

So I received some of my fat quarters I was due to receive. I joined the Wish it Was Spring fat quarter swap hosted by Darci, with that swap we swapped two fat quarters. I got two fat quarters from Sam. She got me two fat quarters of the coffee fabric that I love!! I also signed up for the fat quarter swap at the Sew Mama Sew blog and we traded four fat quarters. I have received three of mine so far from Rachael, Jamie, and Shannon. Rachael got me a Ginger Blossom fq from Michael Miller. Jamie got the pink paisley fq, and Shannon got the green fq, and a small piece of fabric that coordinates. I love it!! This is a start to making a stash.
