My First Quilt

Ok, so Camille and Carrie are hosting a parade of first quilts. These pictures of my quilt are my first, I love this quilt. My only issue is I wish I would have made it bigger. There are some flaws, but not many, which is surprisingly!! I love this and will NEVER get rid of it!! I am currently working on my second quilt, and hopefully by Monday I can have it finished and pictures posted. I hope you enjoy, and Thank you for visiting my blog!!!
ETA: I just finished my second quilt top. I need to get some batting and some more of the blue flower for the backing. I am making this for my grandmother, to let her know that even though I live away, that I love her and miss her. And she can wrap up in my love. I know, tacky, but true.

Your quilts are so lovely. I totally have to make it to the post office tomorrow or I'll be in the states before my letter is. Four lovely kids and gorgeous quilts... You're an inspiration!

I love them both ~ first and last! And I really love the quilt you've made for your grandmother ~ and why you've made it for her. I hope you'll put that on a label!

She's a lucky lady to have such a talented ~ and wonderful ~ granddaughter. Instead of one who made a "green thing". :)

I love them both, but I especially love why you made the quilt for your grandmother. That's so sweet.

Gorgeous fabrics! I love the simple squares in your first quilt. I'd never give it away either!

Wow! Amazing fabrics! Did you use a really thick batting? Love how fat it is!

Both are beautiful. But you took quite the leap from just squares to all of those pieced blocks in your second quilt. Great job!

Your first quilt! Wow its gorgeous, love the fabrics. So nice of you to give your second quilts away. I think it makes it even more enjoyable to sew when you know it's going to a good home.

Both your quilts are just lovely--I especially like the second, and the way you've changed the fabrics around in the blocks so they each look different. The colors and fabrics just dance! Thanks for sharing, your grandmother will love it, I'm sure--and it's not tacky! :)
