Ok, everyone!! I know there are some thrifty crafty people out there. I am searching for one of these Moda tins, but to be honest, NOT a funky monkey one. I am not that crazy about these. If anyone has one of these lunch box tins floating around or taking up space in their closet, I would love to take it off your hands. As long as the price is reasonable. I have been searching for one, but i can only find this one pictured below, and would rather not have that one. but if i cannot find one with a different design, then yes, i will have to get that one. My First Quilt

Ok, so Camille and Carrie are hosting a parade of first quilts. These pictures of my quilt are my first, I love this quilt. My only issue is I wish I would have made it bigger. There are some flaws, but not many, which is surprisingly!! I love this and will NEVER get rid of it!! I am currently working on my second quilt, and hopefully by Monday I can have it finished and pictures posted. I hope you enjoy, and Thank you for visiting my blog!!!
ETA: I just finished my second quilt top. I need to get some batting and some more of the blue flower for the backing. I am making this for my grandmother, to let her know that even though I live away, that I love her and miss her. And she can wrap up in my love. I know, tacky, but true.

block, and my class project!!

i figured i would put an updated pic of my kids, simon is in the yellow shirt, he is 3, abby is 10, ephrem is 18 mos, and camille just turned 7. these guys are my world!!!! they are what i live for, along with their father!! so i hope you do not mind me sharing my joy!! now onto quilting info and pics!!



The first picture, the star is my june month block for donna in my bee inspired group, love love love that block pattern!! the next two pictures are the result of my quilting class that i took saturday all by myself, no kids!! it is a peek a view block, and we colored the butterflies!! Love that also!!! So, what do ya guys think??

I was browsing around the Fat Quarter Shop website, getting ideas, for my birthday coming up soon, I saw these quilts, are they not beautiful??? Now I gotta see which family member will get it for me, or maybe save up my money.

What I have been working on.......

this is what i have been working on, my dd turns 7 tomorrow, and she loves horses. i did a little embroidery work on her blanket, plus she got some ric rac on it also!! now i gotta sew it together and bind it, before she comes home from school, she is getting this tomorrow on her birthday and the rest of her presents will wait until her party this weekend!!

Ok

Ok, so I went to my local quilt store this morning to pay my downpayment on my class i am taking next weekend all by myself!! (no kidlets tagging along) I do not even remember the last real time I took to myself. I am taking an applique class, and we are also learning to color on the fabric with pencils. I am so excited!! Anyways, while I was there this morning I saw this book,
I decided, that I want this baby!! I want to buy this book, or have it gifted to me for my big birthday this year. I am going to be 30 this year, yep, me, on August 1st. So family, this is what I want, oh, yeah, and a gift certificate or Moda products!! (preferably gift cert. cuz I know of a certain line from Moda coming in September that I want to get a fat quarter bundle of, and others!!) Wish me luck!!
