Some Photos

It snowed here the other day, and here are a few pictures of it. I love the snow, as long as i am in the house and not driving out in it. (pretty much if i am warm and indoors, let it snow!!)
My laying hens, they are quite small compared to our meat birds. We are going to be building their laying house soon!!

Here is a very late Halloween photo. We had a Telletubbie, Spiderman, Soccer Player, and a Princess. We did not go out trick or treating, just to Auntie's house.
Here is the label i put on a baby blanket that i am gifting away today to an old friend, it is baby #4, another boy. I have been wanting to make this pattern, and i love how it turned out!!

My New Fall/Winter Purse

So here is my new purse, and i am so proud of it!! i love the fabric, the colors, and the pattern, they seem to speak to me! i feel so pretty when i am out with it. anyways, i just wanted to share with you all. Oh, and maybe an update, yesterday my daughter had surgery done on her tongue, she was tongue tied. she is doing well, and such a trooper, i am so proud of her.

Our Girls Night Out

This was our girls night out, last thursday morning i won a pair of tickets to go see Kelly Clarkson in concert, so i decided to take my oldest daughter out for a girls night out, and her 11th birthday present. this was my first picture i took, i took abigail out to dinner on the way down (we ate at Wendy's). she had so much fun!!! i hope it was a memorable birthday present abby, I love you!!!

and this sad picture is how she looked at the end, she was falling asleep standing up, so we headed out a song early, and beat the traffic rush. she slept the whole way home. we ended up getting home around a little past midnight.

My Scruffily Quilt Top, and a Special Delivery!!

So here is my scruffily quilt top finished, now i need to buy batting and backing, etc. I love this quilt so much already. I used Cotton Blossoms by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.
This tablerunner below was made for me by a dear friend, rachel. Thanks rachel, you made my day today, seriously!! And this is the first quilty thing i have received for me, made for me!! So that is extra special!! I usually make for people and never get handmade in return. I will cherish this forever!!
I also received these goodies from rachel. They are so pretty in person!! Love them!

The second photo is my Scruffily quilt squares so far, the daughter fabric of Cotton Blossoms. I need to still make more, and all the mom fabric squares!! I already love this quilt, and it is not even pieced!

First Day of School

First Day of School was yesterday, and all went really well!! All the big kids were so happy and excited, as was I!! Today I dropped Simon off and I had a really hard time leaving, his bottom lip was quivering and he had tears in his eyes, I smiled and gave him a hug and kiss and told him to have a nice day!! When I picked him up from preschool he said his day was not well because I was not there with him, awww!! Hopefully he will get into the swing of things soon, and I will try to keep him happy!! Here is what the kids looked like right before the bus came yesterday~
