a couple of finished items in time for christmas.....

first off i would like to show the quilt kit that i completed for my daughter camille for christmas. i won it from julie a little while ago. she picked it up at market. the fabric line is spring fever by me and my sister for moda. it is even prettier in person might i add!! sorry about the lighting, i was in a dark room, at night while the kiddos were sleeping.
the next thing i have to show is my table topper i made for my daddy for christmas. it is made with rachel's pattern. it was super easy to make. i used christmas past by polly minick and lauri simpson for moda.

yeah, i heart moda. seriously!! too bad santa wouldn't bring me some moda in my stocking.

Ho Ho Ho Hey Santa, you mind stopping by to check this out???

ho ho ho merry christmas~~~~~ santa?? are you out there?? can you hear me???

hello?!? santa??? can you hear me???
my name is Stacey, and I am a sahm of 4 kids, and the dolls over to the Jolly Jabber Blog are asking for wish lists for you~ well, here goes, i hope that you can hear me.......
my oldest daughter Abby has so urgently asked me to make her a quilt with some pretty fabric, and it has to be green!! So if i could get one wish, i would wish for my two front teeth, oh, no wait, i already have them, it would be a fat quarter bundle of this pretty delft remix fabric for her. she would be forever in my debt!!
and if i could ask for one other thing, honestly, it would be for the kit to make my youngest son a quilt, you see, out of all my children my oldest and youngest are lacking handmade quilts from mommy. my two middle children already have one. so for my youngest i would request the brown bear quilt kit and backing. because he is two and loves eric carle. well, i hope you have a safe trip Christmas Eve, and I will leave extra cookies out for you just in case you decide to bring a little something extra for mommy to make her sweet children. whom never ask for much.

Some Photos

It snowed here the other day, and here are a few pictures of it. I love the snow, as long as i am in the house and not driving out in it. (pretty much if i am warm and indoors, let it snow!!)
My laying hens, they are quite small compared to our meat birds. We are going to be building their laying house soon!!
My meat birds, nice and fat, going to get ready to go in my freezer for the winter pretty soon here, i cannot wait, they are quite mean!!
The sunset at my house the other night, it was so pretty!!
The sunset the other night, playing with my camera.
Here is a very late Halloween photo. We had a Telletubbie, Spiderman, Soccer Player, and a Princess. We did not go out trick or treating, just to Auntie's house.
Here is the label i put on a baby blanket that i am gifting away today to an old friend, it is baby #4, another boy. I have been wanting to make this pattern, and i love how it turned out!!
The back is a green flannel. nice and snuggly
This is the top of Parker's quilt. I am so in love with how it turned out!!

Our Girls Night Out

This was our girls night out, last thursday morning i won a pair of tickets to go see Kelly Clarkson in concert, so i decided to take my oldest daughter out for a girls night out, and her 11th birthday present. this was my first picture i took, i took abigail out to dinner on the way down (we ate at Wendy's). she had so much fun!!! i hope it was a memorable birthday present abby, I love you!!!
The opening act was Eric Hutchinson
Here are some pics of Kelly Clarkson, it was a very good show, I was not disappointed! And I even knew more of her songs than i thought.

and this sad picture is how she looked at the end, she was falling asleep standing up, so we headed out a song early, and beat the traffic rush. she slept the whole way home. we ended up getting home around a little past midnight.

here is a video of one of the songs i saw~
