My loss is your gain
Hey there guys!
I have been debating, and debating. This has been a difficult decision for me, and I am hoping that some of you may be able to help out. I have decided to sell out the items in my Etsy shop, and am closing her down. This really makes me sad, as I love creating and sharing with people what I put my heart and soul into.
I have drastically reduced the prices in my shop, most barely cover the cost for materials, but alas, I am tired, and need to sell off all the items and pay my fees and shut her down.
Christmas is coming, and the prices in my shop are to sell, my loss is definitely your gain!!! Check it out, and spread the word please,
Here is the link to my shop, and I hope you guys have a Happy Holiday Season!!!

My Review- 4.5 stars
I liked this novella, it was simple and cute, and a really quick read. Loved seeing Emily and Nate getting married, and reading about the Widows again. Heather and Chris have a unique story, a chance meeting several months earlier, it's funny how when feelings are involved how simple things can lead to big misunderstandings, things are not always like they seem and they both realized that pretty quick. Meeting again with mixed emotions and their own versions of what happened months earlier. As events of the wedding and activities that are happening for the happy couple they are thrown together. They have good chemistry and it's nice to see that things were real, it's amazing how things get solved and situated with good communication. A major component of a relationship. Glad to see the ending happen the way it did. I gave this novella 4.5 stars because it was a quick read, so the whole story had to progress rapidly to get from the beginning to end. Therefore more detailed descriptions are glazed over, but this a very uplifting sweet romance, and lets you know that happiness and love are all around. Very cute!

About the Author
Emma Cane was
born in Erie, a small Pennsylvania town on beautiful Lake Erie, where the
sunsets are some of the best in the world. Though Emma enjoyed figure skating
and skiing (good sports in the northeast), she brought a book everywhere she
went, usually science fiction and fantasy. Yes, Emma was a Trekkie. Early in
her teen years, she decided maybe she could be a writer, and wrote passionate
stories of teenagers in space, first by hand until her fingers cramped, and
then on her dad’s manual typewriter, that she still can’t bear to give away. In
high school she discovered historical romances, starting with Kathleen
Woodiwiss’s Shanna, and Emma never looked back. The first romance
she ever tried to write was a historical Western, but now she’s changed to the
21st century, where cowboys can ride pickup trucks as well as
horses. Emma fell in love with small-town, heartwarming stories, and created
the fictional town Valentine Valley, a small ranching community in the Colorado
Rockies, where she sets her novels. A Town Called Valentine was the first in her new series. True Love at Silver Creek Ranch followed in January 2013. Her first novella, A Wedding in Valentine, came out in June 2013.
Emma always wanted a career. She determined she wouldn’t be good at the family business, funeral directing, mainly because a funeral director is a social creature, out in society, joining lots of committees and being involved in the community. She likes to pick and choose her committees (she's served in almost every capacity in her local writers' group) She especially enjoys being at home in the evenings, her face buried in a book. When she went to college, Emma figured it might be difficult to earn a living writing, so she tried many different jobs. After majoring in aerospace engineering and taking all her electives in English, she realized writing was her future. While she learned her craft and raised her children, she worked several jobs, from fitness training to programming computer-controlled machines. She joined her local chapter of Romance Writers of America, found her best friends, and with their help, sold her manuscript to Avon Books. At last, writing has become her full-time career.
Now that her three children are grown, Emma loves spending time crocheting and singing (although not necessarily at the same time), and hiking and snowshoeing alongside her husband Jim and two rambunctious dogs Uma and Apollo.
Emma also writes as USA Today Bestselling historical romance author Gayle Callen.

Wow! I cannot believe the response I got to this past post, Thank You all! You totally made my day!
I am floored at the positive response to my block, and it amazes me how many people love to read! I got lots of comments on ideas for making this block into items, well, I am open to custom orders, whether it be library bags, kindle and nook sleeves, ipad sleeves, etc. If you just do not have the time, if you want to email me we can work out the details of what you want, colors, size, etc. And I can make it for you. My email is stacey@staceysplace.com
On the farm front, it's been a busy week with animals, and unfortunately we lost our little cow, he was just too sick, and all the medicine and different things we did just did not help. So he is now in farm animal heaven! And to be honest, I think I had a harder time with it than my kids, but I have also been the one feeding him.
Without further ado, the two winners are, with the help of my children, they picked two numbers, here is what the two winners had to say,
Ok ladies, email me your address and I will forward one on to Quiltmaker magazine and they will mail your copy out, and I will get the other winner's copy out in the mail. You got 48 hours (hopefully sooner) to get your information in to me, and if not then I will pick another winner.
Have a wonderful Sunday! I am off to work at our cabinet shop with my wonderful husband and our kids! Then back to farming when we get home.
Have a great Day!

Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Vol. 7 Blog Tour! (giveaway also!)
Hello, and welcome to my blog. I am Stacey, and Quiltmaker is one of my favorite magazines. This is my second feature in the Quiltmaker 100 Blocks magazine, and I am honored to be included. Issue 7 is due out on May 7th. I love to quilt, and my second favorite thing to do is reading. Reading is a hobby that I picked up as a young girl, and have done it my whole life. *ahem* Some would say I spend too much time reading (I seem to always get in trouble with the husband :D) Having a busy life with my husband and our 4 busy kids, then you now add our new farm into the mix (9 goats, 6 pigs, 2 calves, and 60 chicks~oh my!), reading is my down time, my escape so to speak. This is where I got my inspiration for my block design. I designed a block of a girl with her nose in a book, almost quite literally. And what better than covering up with a quilt while you enjoy that book? I love to do them both together.
I did make a second block, and for the heck of it, I decided to hand embroider it and then I did a really weird and bazaar thing for myself, I did something out of my comfort zone, I sent it to one of my favorite authors, and the hand embroidering that I did on it was of the cover to her first book. This amazingly talented author is Colleen Hoover (and her first book was called Slammed, amazing! the second book in that series is called Point of Retreat, and actually today her third book is being released called This Girl.) Anywho, in my haste to send it to her I forgot to take a picture of it, so I emailed her last week and asked if she could take a picture of it for me so that I could share it with you all, so here is the picture :D
I love this block, now I need to make another one for myself.
Ok, so now it's time for the giveaway, I am giving away 2 copies of the magazine, one from Quiltmaker, and one from myself. To be entered, you can earn 2 entries:

That's it, easy peasy! and Thank You for stopping by. Giveaway winners will be announced on May 4th!

Blog Tour My Everything by Heidi McLaughlin
When Nick Ashford lost his friend, Mason, he didn’t realize he was going to lose his family as well, but that’s exactly what happened. Alone and in a foreign country, Nick is working on rebuilding his life one patient at a time, that is, until a striking volunteer makes her presence known.
Can Nick finish his year in Africa without risking his heart being broken again, or is he willing to start a new chapter in his life before his return to Beaumont?
My Review:
Make sure if you want to read this book, that you read Forever My Girl first, in reading this book first, you might feel kinda lost. I loved Forever My Girl, so when I saw that there was a novella for this series, I was wanting to read it. Now that I have, I am not disappointed. I liked Nick in Forever My Girl, so to see him with his happy ending, and also to see him finally with Noah, was worth it. I wish we could have seen more of Nick's connection with Aubrey, you can imagine their connection, but to feel it more would have been ideal. I did feel this was a little short, but it is a novella, I would have loved for it to have been longer and then it could have gotten more in depth.

A Family Farm
We have been super busy on our homestead. Cutting Cedar Trees just the husband, the kiddos, and I. The money we are raising from our sales we are putting back into our farm, as well as making pasture for animals for the near future. Yesterday Shawn and I travelled and bought ourselves the first new addition to our family as the smile on our kid's faces was so worth it, I would like to introduce to you Samantha, Pheobe, and Commanche~ Our Boer Goats. In their brand new stall we built in one of our outbuildings that we have been cleaning out to convert into a barn, which is amazing! Lots and lots of hard work, but again, so worth it. I hope to share with you bits and pieces of our journey along the way. This is one dream that Shawn and I have had since we first got together, and now we are finally going to make it a reality, it's surreal feeling.
So, what do you think? Today I am planting seeds to start some seedlings indoors for our gardening this year, it is going to be the start of a very busy year! I hope you have a great day!
