Blog Tour My Everything by Heidi McLaughlin

When Nick Ashford lost his friend, Mason, he didn’t realize he was going to lose his family as well, but that’s exactly what happened. Alone and in a foreign country, Nick is working on rebuilding his life one patient at a time, that is, until a striking volunteer makes her presence known.

Can Nick finish his year in Africa without risking his heart being broken again, or is he willing to start a new chapter in his life before his return to Beaumont?

My Review:

Make sure if you want to read this book, that you read Forever My Girl first, in reading this book first, you might feel kinda lost.  I loved Forever My Girl, so when I saw that there was a novella for this series, I was wanting to read it.  Now that I have, I am not disappointed.  I liked Nick in Forever My Girl, so to see him with his happy ending, and also to see him finally with Noah, was worth it.  I wish we could have seen more of Nick's connection with Aubrey, you can imagine their connection, but to feel it more would have been ideal.  I did feel this was a little short, but it is a novella, I would have loved for it to have been longer and then it could have gotten more in depth.

I read My Everything right after reading Forever my Girl and thought that it told Nick's side of the story rather well. He's discovering a new life with Aubrey and putting the remnants of his old life to rest.

I think Heidi making this a novella was a shrewd decision because the series doesn't feature Nick as a main character. But, it would be important to know his side of the story and how things turned out for him if he and Aubrey are going to make an appearance in the second novel of the series, My Unexpected Forever.

I really enjoyed Forever My Girl and My Everything and look forward to My Unexpected Forever when it's released this summer.

I don't see and links so...
